BeanBeansCoffee FAQs

How should I store BeanBeansCoffee's ground coffee?

To maintain the freshness of your ground coffee, it is advisable to keep it in its original resealable package. Place it in a cool, dark, and dry area, ensuring the package is sealed tightly after every use. To extend its shelf life, expel any excess air from the package before resealing.

Can I freeze ground coffee to keep fresh?

Yes, ground coffee will remain fresh longer if stored in the fridge. The only caveat is that only unopened bags are safe from the effects of freezer burn. If the package has already been opened, it's best to transfer your coffee in an airtight container before storing it in the freezer.

Can I reuse ground coffee?

We do not recommend reusing ground coffee. All of the great flavors and oils are extracted during the first brew, leaving behind only the acidic and bitter components for the second brew. You can, however, give your spent coffee grounds a second life as a shower scrub or fertilizer for plants.

Is there a difference in caffeine content between fine & coarse grounds?

No, the grinding process has no impact on caffeine levels. However, it can affect extraction efficiency. Fine-grind coffee produces a strong coffee in a short period of time. Coarser grinds brew more slowly and produce a weaker coffee if brewed under the same conditions.
